Московская биржа вводит календарные спреды на срочном рынке

5 июня 2013 года в торговой системе SPECTRA срочного рынка Московской биржи будут введены календарные спреды на фьючерсные контракты на Индекс РТС и курс доллар США — российский рубль. Это новый финансовый инструмент, который позволит участникам торгов срочного рынка сократить издержки и повысить эффективность управления позициями.

Календарный спред — популярный инструмент среди профессиональных инвесторов, торгующих на фьючерсных рынках. Он позволяет одновременно торговать двумя фьючерсами на один базовый актив, но с разными датами исполнения и противоположной направленностью позиций. Инструмент снизит риски проскальзывания при роллировании фьючерсных позиций и откроет новые стратегии торговли фьючерсами.

"Согласно мировой статистике, только 2-5% от общего числа биржевых контрактов заканчиваются физическими поставками. Более 95% контрактов закрываются или переносятся в следующий срок. Календарные спреды кардинально упростят и удешевят перенос открытых позиций участниками", — комментирует Роман Сульжик, Управляющий директор по срочному рынку Московской биржи.

Календарный спред используется не только для роллирования позиций, но и как самостоятельный инструмент, обладающий уникальными рыночными характеристиками. "Срочный рынок Московской биржи является очень важным сегментом, где средний объем торгов превышает 9 млрд. долларов. Запуск календарных спредов — один из тех проектов, с помощью которого Московская биржа расширит линейку предлагаемых инструментов и торговые возможности профессиональных участников рынка",— отметил Мэттью Рессанкур (Matthieu Ressencourt), Руководитель Управления по торговле волатильностью акций ВТБ Капитал.
