Мечел планирует выкупить свои ADR на $100 миллионов

Российская горно-металлургическая группа Мечел планирует провести обратный выкуп американских депозитарных расписок с отрытого рынка на сумму до $100 миллионов, сообщила компания во вторник. Соответствующее решение одобрил совет директоров компании ради улучшения акционерной стоимости, говорится в сообщении Мечела, которого контролирует российский миллиардер Игорь Зюзин.

Капитализация Мечела только за последний месяц упала на 42% до порядка $1,4 миллиарда, тогда как долг достиг $9,2 миллиарда на конец первого квартала, усиливая угрозу margin-call по кредитам.

"Данная программа не накладывает на Мечел никаких обязательств по приобретению какого-то конкретного количества ADR", — говорится в сообщении Мечела, который оставляет за собой право остановить программу в любое время. "Совет директоров тщательно подходит к оценке структуры капитала и изучению путей эффективного использования денежных потоков для повышения акционерной стоимости компании", — цитирует компания старшего вице-президента по финансам Станислава Площенко.

Мечел не уточнил сроки возможного выкупа бумаг.

После объявления о плане начать выкуп акций, ADR компании на Нью-йоркской бирже подскочили на 13% до $3,2 за бумагу.
